Derek 'Dusty' Miller

It is with sadness that I have just heard the news that Dusty died this morning, a fellow member of the committee, as kind and welcoming a man as could be. He will be greatly missed.

addendum:
Dusty's funeral will take place at Eastbourne Crematorium on the 10th June at 2.30. Jean has requested that no one send flowers, and that should people wish to send a donation this should benefit The Stroke Association. Donations can be sent to: Adela Funeral Homes, 44 South Street, Eastbourne, BN21 4UT.

  1. What a sad day, Dusty (& Jean) were some of the first Basset people we met locally at shows, they were friendly and inviting, kind and socialable. The nicest of people, Dusty always had a smile on his face, he will be missed, and we both send Jean our heart felt wishes. Di Melbourne & Paul Isted, Dearduenna Bassets.

  2. We can pay dear Dusty no better tribute than that he was a sweet man who dearly loved Basset Hounds and sharing the company of other like-minded owners; and that his loss will be greatly felt by the branch.

We know that the thoughts and best wishes of the officers, the committee and all members of the branch are with Jean at this very sad time.

Farewell, Dusty – you will be sorely missed by us all. The hounds salute you.
